(A)She was less successful after she had emigrated to New York compared to

【错误1】比较结构：“compared to ”比较的是“New York”和“her native Germany”，两者虽然可比，但本句的本意并不是比较这两个地点，而是比较两个地点上“Lotte Jacobi”的成功程度。

【错误2】动词时态：表示“过去的过去”的过去完成时动词“had emigrated”确实发生在一般过去时的“was less successful”之前，但实际上“after已经体现了两者的时间先后关系，无需再使用过去完成时。
